First time we have been to the windle for food since they changed the chef. The food was beautiful, we enjoyed every last bit of the food. Credit to the chef and we will be back for sure!
We went for Sunday lunch today. The food was good well cooked and plentiful, was £11 95 for 1 course, for 3 of us with a drink each it was £43 65. Only had a choice of chicken or gammon, we had the chicken.
We waited about 50 minutes for the food to be served, which is a long time to wait.
Sunday lunch today, food was good, well cooked and plenty of it, only 2 choices today, chicken or gammon.
Had a 50 minute wait for it to be served and it wasn't very busy.
£11 95 for 1 course
£14 95 for 2 courses
£19 95 for 3 courses
We went on a Sunday and we were told that they only do Sunday dinners and they only have chicken or gammon and also ordered a dessert which we waited for ever and had to ask for the dessert again sorry but we won’t be going back
We went today for a Sunday Lunch or something off the menu. We found a table quite easily and decided on our meals.I went to the bar and waited a while as two people who were before me got served. Both ordered food and drinks. When it was my turn I was asked had I booked.I replied "no"and was told we are not serving food if you have not booked. I did not argue and we left the pub . Usually a booking is to reserve a table or order a special meal not whether you can served food or not.
Anyhow, they did us a favour as we went to the Carr Mill pub on the East Lancs Road and had an excellent meal.( far better menu ).We will never go to the Windle Pub again.
Service like today is not acceptable.
Came in today on spec for a family meal for 8.
Couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Friendly landlord who came over for a chat and the team made us welcome and made a fuss of the kids.
Generous portions on nice pub grub that was reasonably priced.
Will definitely be back.
Thanks for a lovely afternoon.
The staff were most welcoming and the food was lovely. Excellent experience
